Casa Nova Blog
![]() Casa Nova has been indulging in local fruits and has created numerous ciders using Nova Scotia heritage apples, said to be planted in 1606 when the earliest European settlers arrived. Within the same year, Order of Good Cheer was established in Port Royal, NS in by Samuel de Champlain. History tells us that early settlers and local Mi’kmaq would spend their days gathering foods to produce an evening’s feast, celebrated with music, friends and cheer. Casa Nova owners Karen and Brendan Enright were inspired by the order and continue to honour the origins of the east coast kitchen party with everything they do! Katie McDonald
